Right away, she proves her power by exorcising the demon with ease and displaying an unsettling knowledge of Constantine’s thoughts and motivations. When questioned, she cryptically refers to herself and her kind as “your hostesses,” hinting at her true nature.
It is during a later confrontation with Dream that Constantine realizes the full extent of the threat. Dream explains that something "obscene has slithered into America," and tasks Constantine with dealing with it since he is already there. When Constantine questions why Dream won't handle it himself, he realizes that Dream is actually afraid of the girl scout, a revelation that Dream doesn’t deny.
