Snoopy typically maintains a calm attitude, but occasionally he can become agitated. Even though he is usually unaffected by insults, he can get annoyed by jokes. His temper can flare up during arguments with his closest friends, such as Woodstock and Lucy.

Every once in a while, Linus manages to get under Snoopy's skin with a joke or two. Despite being generally laid-back, Snoopy can't help but take offense when Linus cracks a joke that hits a little too close to home. Their dynamic shows that even Snoopy has his limits when it comes to being the butt of someone's jokes.
After Linus cracks a joke about Snoopy fishing, he laughs uncontrollably while Snoopy remains unamused and annoyed. Usually able to brush off insults or jokes, Snoopy is visibly bothered by Linus' "fishing for compliments" joke for some reason.
Snoopy, known for his many personas, often adding "World-Famous" in front of them, faces rejection once again as his World-Famous Author persona. When he receives yet another rejection slip, Snoopy is left in a state of shock, unable to do anything until Lucy helps him snap out of it.
Lucy, known for her lack of tact, is horrified when Snoopy kisses her instead of Schroeder. She runs away screaming about "dog germs," leaving Snoopy feeling deeply insulted and hurt by her reaction.
Linus becomes upset with Snoopy after finding his baseball bat covered in marks, only to later find out that Lucy was the one responsible for the damage, not Snoopy.
Snoopy is understandably furious at being wrongly accused and looks ready to attack Linus instead of his bat.
In 1973, Snoopy and Woodstock had a falling out over a bill for damages, resulting in Snoopy smashing the bill in Woodstock's face.
In 1976, Snoopy and Woodstock argued over a mustache, eventually snapping it in two and leaving each with only half.
Since 1966, Snoopy has maintained a strong rivalry with the Red Baron, leading to moments where he loses his cool.
In this strip, when Snoopy is in an (imaginary) battle with the Red Baron, he is very alert. So, when he is unexpectedly hit by a snowball from one of the Peanuts kids, Snoopy assumes it is an attack from his nemesis.
Published in 1968, Lucy's psychiatry booth sees many clients, but not all leave satisfied. Snoopy is one of the disgruntled customers. When Lucy withholds Snoopy's supper for not paying for her services, he becomes extremely annoyed. Snoopy even considers reporting Lucy to the AMA to have her nonexistent license revoked, leading to a heated confrontation between the two.
In another strip from 1968, Snoopy is furious when Charlie Brown gives him cat food, which leads him to throw his supper dish over the hedge. He turns to Charlie for support, showing rare displays of anger, panic, and worry. This emotional roller coaster guarantees that Snoopy will not soon forget this mistake.
