In another alternate universe, Spider-Man meets a gruesome end at the hands of a demonic Wolverine. In this story, a deranged wizard named Kulan Gath transforms Manhattan into a medieval kingdom, turning everyone in the city, including the X-Men, into medieval versions of themselves. However, Spider-Man is unaffected by the spell. Kulan captures Peter Parker and intends to torture and kill him to empower his spell to affect the entire world. This involves crucifying Peter, and when Spider-Man breaks free, he is struck down by a spell and dies on the spot. Fortunately, Dr. Strange is able to use his magic to reverse time and save everyone.Spider-Man and Wolverine have worked together and have respect for each other, but things take a disturbing turn in What If #6. In an alternate outcome, the X-Men are possessed during X-Men: Inferno, leading to a world overrun by demons. Only a few heroes are left, including She-Hulk and Spider-Man. She-Hulk is killed by her demonic cousin and Spider-Man is brutally stabbed to death by Wolverine.
In Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe Again #2, Deadpool is manipulated by Red Skull and goes on a killing spree, targeting every hero. The most brutal death is when Deadpool, wearing the Venom symbiote, ambushes and eats Spider-Man's brain while he is helpless to stop him.
In Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars #11, Dr. Doom utterly obliterates the Avengers, including Spider-Man, in a brutal turn of events.In many Marvel stories, powerful items such as the Cosmic Cube and the Infinity Stones often fall into the hands of villains. This was the case during Marvel's original 1984 Secret Wars event, where Dr. Doom stole the powers of the Beyonder. Spider-Man is bitten by Colonel America and becomes a carrier for the virus, ultimately leading him to consume Aunt May and Mary Jane, transforming him into a creature driven by hunger.
In Marvel Zombies Return #1, Sandman manages to murder Spider-Man from the inside out, further adding to the grim and macabre nature of the Marvel Zombies universe.The creatures in Marvel Zombies are driven to invade other universes and feed on people. This leads an infected Spider-Man to Earth-Z, which is still untainted. Though he tries to resist, Zombie Spider-Man ends up killing and consuming the Sinister Six, leaving only Sandman alive. When Earth-Z's Spider-Man encounters Sandman, who has been driven mad by Zombie Spider-Man, Sandman attacks and kills him in a brutal and horrific manner.
