Loki's ability as the Teller of Tales grants them the power to rewrite Marvel history in the real world. In this instance, Loki changes the outcome of a classic Thor comic from 1978. Instead of directly answering Thor's questions about his true mother and predicted death, Loki tells a story from that year. This diversionary tactic serves to alter Thor's backstory and potentially impart a lesson for a future battle. Meanwhile, Roxxon CEO Dario Agger and Enchantress are using the power of stories to undermine Thor's legacy. The image below showcases a fierce battle between Thor and Utgard-Loki, highlighting the intensity of their conflict.

In the latest issue of The Immortal Thor, Loki, now known as the Teller of Tales, is using their newfound powers to rewrite Marvel history. Meanwhile, the enchanting Enchantress is also manipulating the story of the Minotaur in charge of Roxxon Energy Corporation. With the ability to bend truth and manipulate memories, these two powerful magicians hold the fate of the Marvel Universe in their hands.
The Immortal Thor #6 begins with Loki recounting a story from their youth to Thor. This story is based on an actual comic from 1978, The Mighty Thor #272. However, Loki's retelling of the tale deviates from the original, altering the course of events.
Thor, feeling embarrassed by his younger, more arrogant self, keeps interrupting the story. Ironically, his arrogance played a crucial role in the original story's outcome. With Loki rewriting history, the future of Asgard is now at risk. As Loki ominously suggests, this may be the moment where they kill Thor.
In other news, a dedicated fan has created a cosplay of the Mighty Thor, complete with a helmet that accurately reflects the character's appearance in the comics. It's a delightful tribute to the source material that the Marvel Cinematic Universe may have overlooked.
Loki's power over stories is on full display in this issue, setting the stage for an intriguing and potentially game-changing turn of events in the Marvel Universe.
Thor has recently had a few shocking revelations after his encounter with the Thor Corps. Firstly, he learned that his mother, the goddess Gaea, was the one who sealed away his recent foe, Toranos. Secondly, he was told that he would die, according to whispers in Valhalla. Seeking answers to these questions, Thor turns to Loki, who has transformed from a God of Mischief to a God of Stories. However, instead of giving him a direct answer, Loki tells Thor a tale from 1978 called "The Day the Thunder Failed," which Thor recounts to some modern-day children. The story is about Thor and Loki getting lost in the woods and meeting a giant who tricks them into thinking they've failed some basic godly trials. Despite his losses, Thor begs for more tests to prove himself worthy. The moral of the story is that there is always someone bigger and tougher out there, and it's less about beating someone up than never backing down. However, unbeknownst to Thor and Loki, Roxxon CEO Dario Agger is looking to use the power of stories to destroy Thor's legacy. As Loki narrates, the Minotaur is holding The Mighty Thor #272, but sees the story changing into The Immortal Thor #6 as he reads, with even the art swapping out old Ben-Day dot printing for the more modern techniques of artist MartÃn Cóccolo and colorist Matthew Wilson. Enchantress identifies it as Loki's magic, but confirms that she has her own ways of doing the same, so that Roxxon gets its own Thor.
Loki's power is altering his brother's backstory, but the reason behind it remains unknown. Thor's youthful arrogance and refusal to back down from a fight contrast greatly with the Thor who managed to outsmart a more god by proving himself worthy of Mjolnir. In Loki's version, wields an ax instead of his iconic hammer, suggesting that he may not have been worthy in his earlier years. By reminding him of past mistakes, Loki could potentially be teaching Thor valuable for future battles. Alternatively, Loki might simply be indulging in mischief and testing out newfound powers on Thor. Regardless of the motive, these new powers will undoubtedly have a significant impact on Marvel history as this major MCU character undergoes this transformation.
