In the latest issue of "Resurrection of Magneto #1," Storm embarks on a mission to bring Magneto back to life. However, it becomes evident that the pain he experienced and caused during his lifetime continues to haunt him even in death. Magneto, a complex and controversial figure in mutant history, transformed from being the X-Men's primary adversary to a defender of mutantkind. He made the ultimate sacrifice to save his people, but the afterlife offers him no respite or tranquility.

As Storm ventures into the afterlife's waiting room to resurrect her old friend, she anticipates finding him in anguish. However, the reality of Magneto's torment surpasses her expectations. The issue concludes with a powerful image of Magneto, his eyes bleeding, surrounded by a backdrop of names. Whether these names represent those he has lost or those whose lives he has taken remains uncertain. Nevertheless, it is evident that he has endured immense suffering since his demise.

In "Resurrection of Magneto," written by Al Ewing and illustrated by Luciano Vecchio, David Curiel, and Joe Sabino, Storm's quest to revive Magneto takes center stage. However, this journey may not only bring back the Master of Magnetism but also resurrect an old adversary. The story delves into the consequences of Magneto's life filled with cruelty and sacrifice, highlighting that his suffering is far from over.

To find Max, Storm must venture beyond the Dominion, Phalanx, where a god-like being is seeking to consume her the knowledge she possesses. Before Ororo escapes, discovers that Magneto had already a similar encounter with the Dominion, where they "cataloged his pain" and studied him sending him away. This leaves Ororo questioning whether believed he deserved this "spirit vivisection". Regardless of whether he willingly accepted the pain or not, it is evident that peace eluded him even in the afterlifeSuffering has always been Magneto's driving force. Having survived the Holocaust only to lose his young family and witness his beloved Magda flee in fear of him, Magn became a figure who inflicted immense suffering upon humans, mutants, and even those he loved. His transformation into a savior for mutant was not an easy journey. He witnessed the massacre of Genosha—the mutant nation he built—and yet persisted in creating Krak. Throughout his life, ghosts have haunted him since his childhood days and it appears that still do.

It seems that Max's life has been exposed since his death. While Ororo will bring him out of agony through resurrection, she will also reintroduce him to a world where mutants have endured further tragedy and loss. If Max has spent all this time rel his worst moments in the afterlife, there is no doubt that he will be changed—perhaps even broken—by experience. Although Magneto could potentially tip the scales in favor of Orchis by joining the fight against them, he must first traverse through hell.
