Though there are tons of Personas in Persona 3 Reload, options are limited early on, so deciding what to use to form a powerful team can be challenging. Since none of the early game Personas will be extremely powerful, it's more important to think about other ways they may be useful. For example, Personas that have a variety of attacks or offer good buffing skills may be smart options to have on your team, even if they're a little weaker than preferred.
Fortuna is an early-game Fortune Arcana Persona that requires a specific combination of three other Personas to fuse. She is the first Special Fusion Persona players will have access to, offering a good range of coverage for Wind and Ice damage, but she is somewhat hindered due to her lack of an acquired Social Link until mid-game.
The Archangel is an early-game Justice Arcana Persona that players will encounter early in the game. It possesses Light damage capabilities, known as Bless Damage in Persona 5 Royal, which is the primary reason for including it in your roster. However, it has resistance to Slashing and immunity to Light damage, which can pose challenges in combat. Despite this, its early access to Light damage makes it an essential addition to the team.
Gurulu of the Moon Arcana is the first Persona players will likely encounter that offers Dark damage, a rarity for this early in Persona 3 Reload. It also offers immunity to Dark damage from enemies in return and resistance to Wind attacks, making it a valuable addition to a team focused on dealing Dark damage. While Gurulu offers good physical attacks, its primary appeal lies in its ability to provide Dark damage consistently, making it a key Persona to obtain early on in Persona 3 Reload.
Neko Shogun is a Persona with a high amount of passive buffs that can significantly boost its damage potential. While its base damage may not be as high as some other Personas, it can make up for this with its abundance of supportive skills.
Forneus is one of the earliest Personas players can access, appearing in Persona 3 Reload as one of the first Persona encountered. While it is not exceptionally strong, it offers a valuable Attack Boost move called Best Friends with the ability to increase the wearer's attack. However, it is not recommended to prioritize Forneus due to its rarity and the fact that it is a low-tier Persona that is easily overshadowed by other Personas.Having Personas that match the Arcana of a Social Link can be extremely helpful in speeding things up. While it does have a reverse benefit of giving the Persona extra EXP when fused if that Social Link rank is higher, prioritizing boosting the Social Link rank by using the Persona to help boost your rank is more important, especially with such limited time.Persona 3 Reload is a groundbreaking iteration on the iconic role-playing game, offering an entirely fresh and unique experience unlike its predecessors. This remarkable remaster pushes the boundaries of what is possible in a Persona game, setting a new standard for remasters and paving the way for future iterations.
Jack Frost is one of the Persona that many players are likely to recognize due to its presence in the Magician Arcana. While it possesses decent magic stats, its primary appeal for recruitment stems from its unique and powerful Theurgy attack with Jack-o'-Lantern, a skill similar to Showtime in Persona 5 Royal, but utilizing Personas instead of party members.
Furthermore, Jack Frost is the first Persona to be equipped with an item upon creation, providing a significant advantage for customization. The item, Jacktite, can be unlocked upon reaching a certain level, granting access to its crafting potential. While its stats may not be exceptional, the Magician Social Link, Kenji Tomochika, one of the game's earliest Social Links to unlock, makes it a valuable addition to any team.
Rakshasa is one of the best early-game Physical Attack Personas players can obtain. The Persona of the Strength Arcana has access to medium-level physical attacks such as Fatal End and Assault Dive, some of the strongest you will be able to find early on in Persona 3 Reload. Additionally, Rakshasa can learn good passive moves, including Regenerate, Auto Rebellion, and Counter. However, the last of which is not as common for early-game Personas.
Pale Rider is one of the best early-game Personas available, as it has a very high magic stat for its level and access to a wide variety of elemental-type coverage, depending on how it's fused. Players should make an effort to grab this Persona as early as possible since it is the one that has the Theurgy attack with Pale Rider called Pale Knights, which can be a great addition to combat, especially when Theurgy combos are hard to come by early on.Pale Rider is one of the best Personas in Persona 3 Reload, especially for players seeking high Magic and Strength stats for their level. With impressive Magic and Strength, Pale Rider boasts potent moves that are well-suited to its level. The Persona also features Dark attack capabilities, including Fatal End and Auto Sukukaja, which are essential early-game Physical attacks. Additionally, Pale Rider gains passive buffs such as Auto Sukukaja and Resist Fear, making it highly durable and well-equipped for the game's early stages.
Pale Rider's resistance to Wind allows it to reflect Dark attacks, but it is vulnerable to Light, considered Bless Damage. Despite this vulnerability, Pale Rider's other attack types are neutral, making it a versatile and useful Persona that players should keep in their inventory throughout their playthrough.
