Boruto s Best Theory Explains Why Eida's Powers Don't Work On Everyone

Eida's enchantment powers are ineffective against Sarada and Sumire, sparking a fan theory about the reason behind this phenomenon.

A new Boruto fan theory suggests that Eida's loneliness and lack of companionship made her secretly sabotage her own power.

In Eida, Omnipotence manifested itself in two distinct ways. First, it transformed her desire to be loved into an emphatic ability that enabled almost everyone she met to reciprocate her love. Second, it allowed her desire to see Kawaki's wish come true, resulting in him switching places with Boruto at the conclusion of Part 1. As Momoshiki proclaimed, the Otsutsuki's utilization of Omnipotence was not to be taken lightly, indicating that once activated, its effects were unlikely to be escaped by anyone within its target group.

According to this theory, the reason why Sarada and Sumire are immune to Eida's charm is not a bug in her abilities but rather a feature. More specifically, outside of her desire to be loved and to be with Kawaki, she had a deeper desire to find genuine friends who were not affected by her charm. This deeper desire manifested itself as her desire to form meaningful connections with others.

Although some fans may dismiss the theory, it is a plausible argument when considering how Eida came into possession of Omnipotence. Given that Omnipotence was a rare high-level ability that could be challenging to master, it's reasonable to assume that the Otsutsuki who wielded it were highly skilled individuals who possessed a deep understanding of themselves and their formidable abilities. It's unlikely that they would allow Omnipotence to reach its latent desires or control their emotions, given their limited experience and understanding. Eida, on the other hand, is still a teenager and lacks the wisdom and self-control to fully understand and control Omnipotence. The theory proposes that granting a teenager the ability to unconsciously manifest wishes would create a loophole in her charm magic, rendering both Sumire and Sarada immune to her charms. This would justify the extensive focus on Eida's efforts to forge a connection with the girls, considering that once Omnipotence is used, its effects are permanent.

Of course, there is still a lot that needs to be explained about the blossoming relationship between Sarada, Sumire, and Eida. Even before Eida expressed her wish to become their friend, they were already immune to her charm and the Boruto-Kawaki swap. Nonetheless, the ongoing connection between Sarada, Sumire, and Eida remains a significant element in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, one that could potentially lead to the downfall of Kawaki's plans.
