The hit Netflix reality TV series took the United States by storm in 2019, and Love Is Blind season 4 recently aired in the U.S. Three of the original five couples tied the knot and remain married as of May 2023: Zack Goytowski and Bliss Poureetezadi, Kwame Appiah and Chelsea Griffin, and Brett Brown and Tiffany Pennywell. However, the Love Is Blind: Brazil season 1 cast didn't have the same success from that specific season.
Luana Braga and Lissio Fiod became fan favorites during the first season of the popular Netflix reality show after overcoming a love triangle with Carol, with many believing they had the best shot at a successful marriage of any married couple. Both said "I Do" at the altar and revealed in the reunion episode that they were still together. However, their relationship ultimately ended on November 1, 2022, when they announced their split on Instagram. While the Instagram video has since been deleted, Reddit user krncrds translated the full text, with part of the couple's announcement included overcoming a personal crisis as part of their breakup, saying: "Our story was beautiful, and I hope it stays that way. There is still love, but now our bond will be a beautiful friendship. Here ends our experiment. Thank you Netflix!"
Carol Novaes and Hudson Mendes seemed to be an ideal match from the start of LIB: Brazil, with the former unwilling to alter her personality for true love and the latter happily accepting such. However, dramatic dust-ups during the season raised red flags for some when their personalities clashed over time. In the end, Carol and Hudson decided to stay together, only to announce their separation during the reunion episode, although no real reason was provided.
Ana & Shayan — Broke Up
Unlike the previous three couples, Ana Prado and Shayan Haghbin were transparent enough to acknowledge their marriage wouldn't be successful. This honesty led them to mutually part ways, leaving no ambiguity about their current relationship status. Even during Shayan's proposal in the pods, neither seemed to be certain of their feelings or willingness to commit, which ultimately proved detrimental in the long run.
Dayanne Feitoza and Rodrigo Vaisemberg placed a high priority on finding a genuine life partner during their time on Love Is Blind: Brazil. Despite their initial strong connection, they ultimately chose to separate, citing incompatible expectations and differing standards regarding cleanliness, messiness, and a lack of commitment from Rodrigo.
