Batman #141 – authored by Chip Zdarsky, illustrated by Jorge Jimenez, colored by Tomeu Morey, and lettered by Clayton Cowles – currently features the Caped Crusader battling the android embodiment of Zur-En-Arrh, after this personality has taken the form of Failsafe.
While pursuing Batman, Zur-En-Arrh criticizes Bruce's inclination to depend on gadgets, suggesting to his target: "you'll eventually succumb to your technology, becoming me in the process." Zur-En-Arrh States Batman's Tech Will Be His Undoing
From Bat-shark repellent to rocket-propelled bat ears, Bruce Wayne always has a gadget to fall back on. However, this reliance on technology could become a major threat in its own right, as Batman's backup personality, Zur-En-Arrh, notes in Batman #141. It was Zur-En-Arrh that created the android Failsafe, which has become a significant threat in the DC Universe. At one point, it easily conquered Gotham City, defeating the entire Justice League in the process. Failsafe was designed by Batman to be used against Batman – and the result was a devastating new antagonist far beyond the Dark Knight's own power level.
There is further precedent for Zur-En-Arrh's comment in Batman #141. In one of the many worlds in the Dark Multiverse, Batman ended up becoming the Murder Machine. The Murder Machine was a powerful cyborg, born when an AI that Bruce based on the deceased Alfred Pennyworth went rogue and took over Batman's physical body. In All-Star Batman, Alfred mentioned the fact he's aware of plans Batman has to recreate him as an AI if he should ever die. This is the exact same event that eventually led Batman to become the Murder Machine. Left to his own devices, Batman's aptitude for creating might very well lead him to end the world.

Batman is known for his gadgets and his contingency plans, but time and time again, these gadgets have gone out of control. When Batman couldn't let go of Alfred, he ended up being transformed into the Murder Machine, becoming a victim of the AI he created.
