In episode #3, titled “Living Armor”, the Touden Party encounters formidable living armors. Laios splits from the group to find the entity controlling these armors while his team holds them off. However, he soon faces an even stronger living armor that nearly defeats him. During the battle, Laios discovers that the armors are powered by colonies of mollusks working in unison. Armed with this knowledge, Laios immobilizes his opponent and aids his party's escape. The episode ends with the group cooking and reluctantly eating the mollusks, finding them surprisingly tasty. Laios also takes the sword from the commanding living armor, keeping the secret of a mollusk residing in it when Marcille asks to inspect it.
