10 Practically Useless Pals: Don't bother catching.

Some Pals in Palworld are so ineffective that it is not worthwhile to attempt catching them, with at least 10 falling into this category.

Palworld is teeming with 111 creatures to catch for combat or base work, but some are so ineffective that catching them holds little to no value.

Along with an active skill, Pals come with set worker skills and random passive skills. The latter is crucial when deciding if a Pal will be used for combat or as a worker. Worker skills come into effect regarding a player's base, as some Pals may not be good in combat but have beneficial worker levels that make them great to catch. It is vital to have a good balance of combat and worker Pals to maximize a player's time and effort away from and on base.

Vixy is a rare Pal that can be utilized for the first two hours of Palworld but is overshadowed by the faster Direwolf within the same timeframe. Despite being one of the first mounts players can acquire, Vixy's value diminishes quickly due to its mediocre stats and attacks. While its active skill allows for occasional Pal Sphere excavation, it's largely irrelevant in the late game when players have access to more efficient mounts.

  1. Hangyu is a mixed bag, but even as a boss, it is better killed for parts than capturing. It has decent enough overall stats that are useful in combat, but being a Ground type hurts it. This is somewhat saved by its skill that boosts its Ground attacks while mounted but exposes the player to more danger. Hangyu's biggest drawback is that it has no appeal as a worker, only helping with gathering.Hangyu, despite being one of the game's most controversial Pals, is also utterly useless. Its stats are abysmal, rendering it useless in combat. While its active skill allows for some strategic maneuvering, it's far outweighed by more effective alternatives. The Ice variant's worker skills are decent, but even then, Hangyu is outclassed by other, more viable Pal choices.

Fuddler is another Ground Pal with low stats, rendering it largely useless for combat. Its active skill, while helpful for finding ore veins, is overshadowed by its primary purpose. This skill is not as valuable in Palworld as it may be in other games where ore veins are rare or have consistent spawn locations. While Fuddler can be used for travel, its effectiveness diminishes when players favor efficient methods of finding ore veins. Additionally, its early-game utility as an early-game worker is hindered due to its low stats and eventual decline.

Fuack is a starter choice in Palworld, but its underwhelming stats and situational active skill make it largely ineffective for fighting beyond level 10. While its attack is useful in the early game, its low base stats and weak overall build make it unsuitable for consideration in fights after level 10.

Cawgnito, despite its visually impressive design, serves a singular purpose and is largely irrelevant to the main game mechanics. Its primary function is to launch surprise attacks on a target Pal, but its skill is underwhelming compared to other creatures. Furthermore, its average stats make it less effective in terms of damage output and utility compared to other Pal creatures. Therefore, its role in the game is primarily focused on farming Neutral Pals, which other creatures can perform more efficiently. The Egyptian-inspired Mau is another Pal with a skill that's so niche it's pointless to catch. While it has some good attack moves, its survival time is too short to make it viable for actual use. It only has one decent worker skill, which is its saving grace, and requires players to dedicate a significant amount of resources to build multiple Maus for any substantial return on investment.

As it stands now, Woolipop is one of the most useless Pals in Palworld. While its design and abilities may be impressive, it offers no tangible benefits to players. It is not effective in combat, serves no practical purpose on ranches, and its key drop provides minimal nutrition or sanity. Consequently, Woolipop will always be considered one of the most useless Pals in the game, regardless of the player's skill level or strategy.
