Angle Man's manipulation of Psycho's powers amplifies his psychic abilities to such a degree that they overwhelm Trevor's protective mental shields. Despite the formidable safeguards Trevor has erected around his mind, Angle Man's onslaught proves devastating, shattering his defenses and forcing him to surrender. As Steve succumbs to the attack, he warns Wonder Woman that her villains are coming. The monstrous hand of Giganta emerges from the ground, ready to crush Diana, leaving her vulnerable to Angle Man's deadly attacks.
In the previous Wonder Woman issue, the Sovereign's narration revealed that Angle Man's Anti-Life Equation upgrade had significantly boosted his power. This upgrade enabled him to attack Diana's villains psychically, granting him the ability to attack anyone anywhere, regardless of their mental defenses. As a result, Dr. Psycho could psychically torment Diana's villains, rendering them vulnerable to Angle Man's assault. This upgrade also helped Giganta gain the upper hand over Wonder Woman, as she would be unable to hear her giant-sized foe coming from afar.
Wonder Woman's villains have occasionally challenged her before, but they've never faced Darkseid's level of power. While Angle Man is the only one who has discovered how to manipulate the Anti-Life equation, his abilities are already putting Diana at a severe disadvantage. Up until now, the Sovereign's forces haven't posed a significant threat to the Amazing Amazon. But if Angle Man can leverage his powers to enhance Diana's deadliest foes, then Wonder Woman might face a formidable challenge in this deadly cadre of villains.
