Dream of the Endless Enlists Constantine to Help Defeat the Unknown Deity Who Takes the Form of a Girl Scout

"Constantine's initial encounter with the enigmatic girl scout unfolds amidst a negotiation meeting between him and another demon. Her sudden intrusion disrupts the flow of the proceedings, revealing an unsettling level of knowledge about Constantine and his inner workings. With her fiery display, she effortlessly exorcises the demon, leaving Constantine bewildered and confounded. Despite his initial skepticism, the girl scout's cryptic responses hint at a deeper understanding of his personal thoughts and motivations, leaving him baffled and intrigued."

It's only later, during a confrontation with the formidable Dream, that Constantine discovers the gravity of the threat posed by the enigmatic girl scout. Dream unveils that something "unpleasant has infiltrated America," and he entrusts John with rectifying the situation, as he's conveniently residing in America. Constantine queries why Dream wouldn't personally handle the situation, prompting him to realize that the Endless member harbors deep fear towards the girl scout, an unsettling revelation Dream refuses to acknowledge. This revelation suggests that Dream may be even more formidable than he and his siblings, suggesting they are capable of greater power and influence.

In the Sandman Universe, Dream and his Endless siblings reign supreme as the most powerful beings. However, Dream's conspicuous choice of inaction against the young girl scout and her companions, despite his expressed desire to eliminate them, is a subtle indication of his recognition of a credible threat from these emerging entities. This implies that Dream recognizes the potential of these entities to surpass even the Endless, and that his failure to act decisively could have significant consequences for the fate of the Universe.
