In Avengers: Twilight, a fresh addition to Captain America's new Avengers team is the introduction of a new Hawkeye. Although their true identity remains a mystery, their costume provides hints. Check out the image below for a glimpse of the new Hawkeye's appearance:

In Avengers: Twilight #5, Marvel introduces a new version of Hawkeye who is hinted to have connections to a deadly supervillain. The hero wears a masked version of Clint Barton's classic costume, obscuring identity, and the art from Ross and Acuña provides some clues about the character tattoos and costume design. This new Hawkeye is depicted with tattoos that include a card motif (Bullseye's preferred weapon), the Punisher’s skull logo and Captain America’s stars. The costume features concentric rings around the neck, typically associated with the supervillain Bullseye. Additionally, this character is seen carrying a gun alongside the traditional bow and arrow as well as having a boot – indicating a more lethal approach to crime-fighting.
Iron Man's Son Makes His Official Debut - Named After Tony Stark's Favorite Avengers Hero
In a significant development, Iron Man's son has finally made his official debut, and he has been named after one of Tony Stark's favorite Avengers heroes. This raises the question of whether the next generation of Starks will follow in their father's heroic footsteps or take a different path as villains.
Avengers: Twilight Introduces a New Hawkeye
In a Marvel storyline set in a dark future, a new Hawkeye is introduced in the series Avengers: Twilight. This alternate reality depicts a world where the Avengers failed to protect New York from Ultron's attack. As a result, America turned against its superheroes, leading to the disbandment of the surviving Avengers members. Over the years, the country has descended into authoritarianism, with SHIELD transforming into a fascistic force that prohibits civilian recording and exhibits increased brutality among its agents.
Amidst this backdrop, a new Avengers team exists, but they are essentially government puppets. Luke Cage's underground movement uncovers evidence of their involvement in war crimes, prompting Steve Rogers to don the Captain America suit once again and fight to expose the truth. The team consists of versions of Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, and Captain Marvel, while Steve attempts to recruit Kamala Khan to rebuild the original Earth's Mightiest Heroes. The new Hawkeye appears to be aligned with the Defenders, an underground movement opposing SHIELD's presence on the streets.
Meanwhile, Tony Stark's son, James, rejects Steve's cause and appears to be engaged in dark human experimentation while supplying advanced technology to the government. This sets the stage for a potential clash between the different factions of Avengers in Avengers: Twilight.
Hawkeye Is Likely to be an Important Member of Captain America's Team, indicating that he will play a significant role in Steve Rogers' efforts to rebuild the original Avengers lineup.
With such a talented and respected creative team at the helm, it's impossible to predict the surprises that lie ahead. However, it appears that Captain America's team will eventually clash with the New Avengers. This is hinted at by CAFU's variant cover, which shows Captain America, Thor, and the new Iron Man in a face-off. In this scenario, Captain America will surely need the support of the new Hawkeye, regardless of their identity.
Steve Rogers has a history of teaming up with formidable heroes for the greater good. He even briefly collaborated with Punisher during the events of Civil War. However, if the new Hawkeye happens to be the child of Punisher or Bullseye, they might have to prove themselves before earning a spot among the Avengers. Interestingly, Benjamin Su's variant cover depicts the original Hawkeye, who initially started as an adversary to the Avengers before eventually joining their cause.
Keep an eye out for Avengers: Twilight #5, set to be released by Marvel Comics on April 17th.
